About the Role
The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Management Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of our inventory and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide internal supply chain services using electronic receipts system and bar code data capture system;
- Unpack and check items against delivery records and take corrective action where necessary (whilst maintaining audit records);
- Provide a materials management service to purchase regular stock and non-stock items to meet ward/department requirements;
- Ensure stock rotation and replenishing products in accordance with agreed procedures;
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and goods are put away in a timely manner on receipt;
- Investigate and solve delivery and payment issues;
- Produce stock reports/data analysis to advise ward/department managers and finance staff on purchasing patterns/costs;
- Process purchase orders and recommend sources of supply/savings to customers.
