Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Counsel to join our client's in-house legal function in South Wales as a strategic member of their team. The role will involve providing a broad range of commercial advice to senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on drafting and negotiating commercial, IT, and cyber contracts and agreements.
- Provide advice on data protection and intellectual property rights.
- Offer quality and timely legal advice and support to stakeholders within the business.
- Manage and update the company's standard commercial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with sector-specific regulations and provide risk mitigation support.
Requirements
- UK qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with at least 2+ years PQE.
- Experience in-house or at a high-quality national or regional law firm.
- Exposure to advising clients in the utilities, energy, and/or technology sectors.
- Strong foundation in commercial contracts and knowledge of managing large-scale IT and/or cyber projects.
