About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded business in the South Wales and Southwest markets as a Senior Legal Counsel. As a strategic member of the in-house legal function, you will provide timely commercial advice to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Counsel in providing a broad range of commercial advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide legal support to the business, influencing at a senior level and providing robust advice and guidance on risk management and regulatory obligations.
  • Draft and negotiate Construction Contracts and Commercial Agreements.
  • Provide strategic and commercially sensitive advice on Data Protection, Procurement Regulations, Commercial Disputes, and Property Disputes.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Commercial, Projects, or Construction Lawyer in-house or at a high-quality national or regional law firm.
  • Exposure to advising clients in the utilities and energy sectors.
  • First-class technical lawyer with broad experience across the energy and utilities sectors.
