About the Role
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled Refrigeration Systems Specialist to implement a maintenance and repair strategy for various offshore and onshore energy assets, including wind farm substations along the eastern coastline of the UK.
This role is ideal for an engineer aspiring to advance into a supervisory or managerial position, as Trident Maritime Systems aims to enhance its presence in the marine sector and broaden its operations.
The preferred candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to the surrounding areas, with travel across various locations and occasional assignments.
The Refrigeration Systems Specialist is expected to possess strong technical skills, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to working in a challenging yet fulfilling industry. Previous offshore experience is not mandatory, as comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities will be provided to the right individual.

Trident Maritime Systems, established in 1984, has been a leading provider of HVAC&R services to the energy sector for over three decades. We are recognized as the largest independent supplier of HVAC&R solutions in the North Sea, serving major energy operators and integrated service companies.
Our team comprises over 100 professionals, including experienced HVAC consultants, design engineers, project engineers, and support staff.
While our primary focus is on the energy sector, we have also expanded our services in the renewable energy field, supporting numerous offshore and onshore substations across various wind farms.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of refrigeration systems.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and work scopes with both existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct surveys, inspections, and technical assessments.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of work, including updates to clients' CMMS and F-Gas logs.
- Submit daily and trip reports to project engineers and management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed apprenticeship and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience working with refrigeration systems.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Service & Maintenance).
- City & Guilds 2079 Cat 1 certification in F-Gas and ODS Regulations.
- Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations.
- A foundational understanding of HVAC systems.
- A commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to respond to short-notice call-offs and travel to various locations.
- A positive attitude and dedication to ongoing personal and professional development.
- A self-motivated, client-focused team player with strong communication skills.
