Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

Vertiv, a global leader in power distribution solutions, is seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in driving process development and supporting new product development through the effective application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and support continuous improvement events.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools and techniques for problem-solving, including FMEA's, DFM, 5 Whys, and value stream mapping.
- Support Value Engineering exercises to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the process.
- Contribute to plant and process layout for new and existing products.
- Develop and maintain fixtures and tooling for new and existing products and processes.
- Produce clear work instructions for new and existing products.
- Justify and specify manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for capital expenditure.
- Support management in fostering a culture of lean manufacturing.
- An experienced HNC/D / degree qualified Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer with an assembly or mechanical / electro-mechanical background.
- Lean manufacturing background and understanding of lean tools/techniques.
- Excellent people skills to complement your first-class Manufacturing Engineering / Continuous Improvement / Lean skills.
