Continuous Improvement Specialist

Vertiv, a leading provider of critical infrastructure and services, is seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in driving process development and supporting new product development through the effective application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
Responsibilities:- Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and support of continuous improvement events.
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools and techniques for problem-solving and value engineering exercises to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Play a key role in plant and process layout for new and existing products.
- Maintain and develop fixtures and tooling for new and existing products and processes.
- Produce clear work instructions for new and existing products.
- Justify and specify manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for capital expenditure.
- Support management in fostering a culture of lean manufacturing by using lean tools, SMED, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Lead and contribute to cost reduction continuous improvement initiatives.
- HNC/D or degree qualified in Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering with a mechanical or assembly engineering background.
- Lean manufacturing background with understanding of lean tools and techniques such as FMEA's, DFM, 5 Whys, and value stream mapping.
- Excellent people skills to complement first-class manufacturing engineering and lean skills.
