We are collaborating with a reputable Firm of Independent Financial Advisors with a significant footprint across the Yorkshire region. The ideal candidate will join a skilled team of Paraplanners to develop tailored Technical Suitability reports for a diverse Client portfolio.

You will engage closely with our Financial Advisors, ensuring the proficient creation of suitability reports. Our Client also provides the chance to work alongside senior professionals within the organization and participate in Client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with assigned Financial Advisor(s) to formulate advice, maintain compliance of client files, and produce accurate suitability reports.

Prepare annual suitability review letters for designated Financial Advisor(s) and address any potential inquiries with them.

Support the Paraplanning Supervisor and Investment Committee in managing centralized research for the firm's investment offerings.

Ensure precise information is maintained within the firm's CRM system.

Act as a primary contact within the office for assigned Financial Advisor(s), ensuring their cases are tracked within the team and providing regular updates on their status.

Draft compliant suitability reports and conduct a thorough assessment of a client's situation, identifying areas for financial planning review of existing portfolios/arrangements in terms of asset allocation, risk profile, costs, performance, taxation, and alignment with client objectives.

Conduct research independently and in collaboration with the Financial Advisor to identify appropriate solutions to meet clients' needs, including:

  • Communicating with providers to obtain all relevant plan information.
  • Preparing information and comparisons for analysis by the Financial Advisor.
  • Considering tax and legal implications of any advice to ensure supporting research, documentation, and records comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Drafting suitability reports based on agreed recommendations for discussion and approval by the Financial Advisor.

Timely and accurate completion of annual suitability review letters.

Conduct research on ad-hoc withdrawals of plans to evaluate suitability.

Candidates should possess relevant industry experience and ideally hold or be working towards a Level 4 Diploma qualification.
