Shipping Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Distribution team as a Maternity Cover Shipping Controller. This is a temporary position, with a minimum contract duration of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and create export shipments using the Prima web-based system, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with destination customs rules and regulations.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including customs documentation, to meet destination requirements and UK customs regulations.
  • Manage returns shipments from wholesale clients worldwide, verifying UK import documentation for compliance with UK regulations.
  • Generate quotes for shipments using pre-determined rate sheets or collaborating with freight forwarders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in an office environment, with proficiency in filing systems and excellent phone manner.
  • Desirable: Relevant experience in a distribution or shipping office.
  • Highly computer literate in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to learn and progress within the office.
