Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a luxury country hotel in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a la carte restaurant meals, as well as catering for weddings and functions
  • Manage service in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless delivery of meals to our guests
  • Oversee the kitchen brigade, including health and safety, hygiene, and staff management
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and culinary concepts
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to achieve kitchen goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on using seasonal and locally sourced produce
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a high level of attention to detail and quality control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
