About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Leicester City Council. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the psychological and social well-being of Children in Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver school-based short-term interventions for Children in Care, including 1:1 and group work.
  • Focus on the development of psychological well-being and support key adults to understand the children's needs.
  • Analyse data and produce reports demonstrating EWE project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Upper second class (2:1 or above) honours degree in Psychology that makes you eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Significant experience in working directly with vulnerable children, young people, and with parents.
  • Ability to demonstrate significant knowledge of a wide range of psychological methods and perspectives.
