Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to become a vital member of our supportive Endoscopy unit.

Our department caters to both inpatient and outpatient services, performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions such as bowel cancer screening, endoscopic procedures, bronchoscopies, ERCP, EBUS, and ascitic drain placements. Operating from early morning until evening throughout the week, we also provide an on-call service that requires trained nurses to participate.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Endoscopy team and assist the Endoscopy Manager in providing a highly skilled, safe, and efficient service for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the designated nurse and effectively managing the care of a designated group of patients.
  • Leading a team in the absence of the ward manager or deputy on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Participating actively as a Coordinator, providing supervision and guidance to junior team members.

Salary will be adjusted for part-time hours.

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrated recent post-registration experience.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in endoscopy is advantageous.

  • Relevant post-registration education and specialist pathway.
  • Documented record of Continuing Professional Development.

  • Qualification in health promotion teaching.
  • Non-medical prescriber qualification.
