Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Product Owner to join our team at Walsall Housing Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and promoting our financial systems, working closely with the Financial Systems Transformation Manager to deliver efficient and effective systems and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the day-to-day operation of all financial systems.
- Provide expert support to users, including training for new starters, those changing roles, and refresher training as required.
- Promote and expand the use of financial systems across the business.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into user stories, and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Evaluate enhancements, upgrades to functionality, and system capabilities, and recommend those that maximize the delivery of corporate and departmental objectives.
- Be responsible for reviewing, setting, and prioritizing the delivery of the Finance Systems roadmap.
- Assist in defining the vision and strategy for financial systems.
Requirements:
- Graduate in a related technical discipline (such as IT, Finance, etc.) or demonstrably qualified by experience.
- Experience of developing accounting and business systems in a comparable organization.
- Experience of implementing process and change control.
- Experience of being part of projects to deliver systems and process enhancements.
