Position Overview:

Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a passionate and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support in a well-regarded special educational institution. This role involves working with students aged 4-16 who have a variety of special needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering the best educational outcomes for all learners.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students while promoting their physical and emotional growth.
  • Support educators in developing and implementing effective learning strategies for pupils with moderate to profound learning difficulties.
  • Encourage positive behavior and social skills both in and outside the classroom.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of individual students to teaching staff.
  • Follow established Personal Support Plans and apply positive handling techniques as needed.
  • Facilitate personal care and medical needs for students when necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students and colleagues.
