Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Northwood HQ. As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain food hygiene, service, and presentation to a high standard
  • Support the head chef in managing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including managing wastage and paperwork
  • Deliver private and official functions
  • Share your input to develop menus for private functions
  • Follow recipes and prepare food for service
  • Deliver first-class food throughout service
  • Share responsibility for the checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries to ensure that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the unit
  • Assist the Head Chef in evaluating the training needs of the kitchen staff
  • As a member of our team, you are equally responsible for cleaning and hygiene and that any assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties are carried out

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided for the past 5 years
  • Previous experience at sous level
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • DBS check required
