Lead Front End Engineer (JavaScript)

Are you an experienced Front End Engineer looking to leverage your skills in a modern tech environment focused on innovative projects?

In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career in a senior, hands-on capacity, contributing to both existing platforms and new initiatives.

As a Front End Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects within an Agile framework, emphasizing development to enhance and expand current systems while also engaging in new initiatives. You will manage all facets of the frontend stack to create high-quality Progressive Web Applications and Websites for a diverse array of prominent retail clients.

You will work closely with UI/UX Designers to ensure technical feasibility, optimize applications for performance and scalability, and develop reusable code and libraries. Additionally, as a senior member of the team, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to collaborate with the team in the office part of the week while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in JavaScript with a solid background in frontend development.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and leading technical projects.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, SASS, and build tools like Webpack and Gulp.
  • Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of browser rendering behavior and performance optimization.
  • Appreciation for UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience with high-traffic websites, particularly in eCommerce.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
