The Role: Project Worker
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Project Worker to join our Young People Service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting young people facing various challenges by providing guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments of customer needs, developing and updating support plans to ensure their well-being and progress.
- Provide direct support with daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
- Offer guidance on tenancy conditions, financial management, and welfare benefits, empowering customers to navigate these aspects effectively.
- Encourage social inclusion and community engagement, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and best practices, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all individuals served.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with vulnerable young people in a supportive environment.
- A genuine passion for empowering young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, ensuring efficient delivery of support services.
- Knowledge of action/support planning, key working, risk assessment, and safeguarding principles.
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
