We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate or Associate Director to join our dynamic Civil Engineering Team in Hook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic development planning and detailed design work for highways, drainage, and development infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical input into the planning process and coordinate detailed design and implementation into projects during the construction phase.
- Manage project resources, delegate tasks, and support the wider team's financial and commercial management through robust project delivery.
- Liaise with highways, water, statutory, and local authorities to negotiate outline and technical approvals.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering projects.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (Bachelor or Masters) in Civil Engineering and Chartered status.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a proven record in client care and business development.
- Strong knowledge of legal processes, planning, design, design software, technical consents process, adoption, and contract procedures for drainage schemes and associated infrastructure.
- Ability to direct and check the use of relevant software, such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to develop the existing highways and infrastructure section with the support of the Directors at our Hook office.
