About the Role

Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Court and Permanency Team. Our team is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people, and we are looking for a skilled professional to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with families, developing our use of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and implementing systemic practice to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • To develop court skills and work with children for whom we are the corporate parent, building a repertoire in carrying out direct work with children and young people.
  • To work with children from 0-16 and their networks, both professional and personal, to ensure they are safe and can achieve their potential.
