Job Title: Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary SEMH provision in Wigan. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who requires support with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the pupil, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the pupil, using effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met.
  • Contribute to a calm and supportive learning environment, promoting the pupil's well-being and academic success.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs and/or challenging behaviour.
  • Strong behavioural management skills and knowledge of safeguarding protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive daily rate of £83.85+ through weekly PAYE.
  • A full-time role, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to work with one-to-one with a child with SEMH.
  • Immediate start following registration with Teaching Personnel.
  • Opportunity to work with a dedicated team and contribute to the pupil's progress and development.
