Job Title: Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork to join our team at Mitchell Maguire. As an Estimator Architectural & Structural Metalwork, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for architectural metalwork projects, including structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking, and sheet metalwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules
  • Deal with enquiries from various clients via phone calls and emails
  • Prepare and submit accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided
  • Follow up all submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly
  • Conduct handover meetings passing secured projects to our production team
  • Continue to develop relationships with clients to secure further business
  • Liaise with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects

Requirements:

  • Must have estimating experience within the metalwork market sector, whether structural or architectural
  • Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking, and sheet metalwork would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously
