About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Allica Bank's Risk department as a Commercial Mortgage Recovery Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our Commercial Mortgage and Asset Finance portfolio, working closely with customers who may be experiencing financial difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Collections & Recoveries Managers in managing the Bank's Commercial Mortgage and Asset Finance portfolio, identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to bring customer accounts up to date, ensuring a positive outcome for both the Bank and the customer.
- Build strong relationships with customers, providing support and guidance throughout the recovery process, and ensuring that their needs are met in a fair and transparent manner.
- Work closely with third-party agencies, such as Solicitors and Insolvency Practitioners, to recover debt and maximize sale proceeds.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure that all actions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Collections department, ideally working with Commercial Mortgages and/or Asset Finance products, relating to SMEs.
- Strong knowledge of the legal and contractual rights of both the bank and the customer, as well as the bank's options to enforce its security in the event of a customer default.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
