Job Summary

THC Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As an HR Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing a comprehensive and professional HR service to all staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Talent Management
    • Support the HR team with recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, arranging interviews, and data retention.
    • Complete pre-employment and reference checks for new staff, and ongoing monitoring of right to work checks.
    • Prepare contracts of employment and offer letters.
  • Employee Relations and Support
    • Support with the disciplinary process, including preparation of investigation paperwork.
    • Attend investigation meetings, acting as a notetaker and providing guidance to managers and employees, as needed.
    • Arrange welfare visits and liaise with medical practitioners, as required.
    • Provide guidance on company policies and procedures to the management team.
  • General Administration and Regulatory Reporting
    • Develop and maintain the HR database to enable the production of management information.
    • Perform general administration for regulatory reporting, first-level controls, and SM&CR.
    • Engage and manage relationships with existing suppliers and onboard new suppliers.
    • Complete routine and ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support departmental and organizational objectives.
    • Support the rollout of new and updated policies and procedures.
    • Monitor staff wellbeing, attendance, and productivity, requesting additional documentation as needed.
    • Support the HR team with the arrangement of training activities.
  • Payroll Administration
    • Assist with the administration of payroll information for monthly payroll, including exceptions such as fuel card deductions, overtime, starters, leavers, personal detail changes, contractual changes, bonus payments, and holiday pay.
Requirements
  • Good generalist HR skills gained in a fast-paced commercial or finance organization.
  • CIPD membership is preferred.
  • Computer literacy, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Iris Cascade, Concur, and ADP.
  • Previous HR experience, including payroll, health and safety, HR systems and databases, employee relations, and recruitment and selection.
