Mechanical Design Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems and products using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design meets technical requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure design meets quality and safety standards.
- Work with suppliers to obtain quotations and negotiate prices.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
- Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng or MEng).
- Experience with design software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
- 8-10 years of experience in a design role in an industrial environment.
- Recent experience of design engineering work, not just reverse engineering or project management.
- Machinery design experience, including conveyor systems, bearing, linkages, mechanisms, packaging machinery, or other 3-phase machinery.
- Ability to provide practical, creative, and cost-effective solutions to design change/modification.
- Multi-tasking with simultaneous projects meeting tight cost and time restraints.
- Clear, fluent English (written and verbal) and ability to travel worldwide.
- Experience with Autodesk Vault v2015 onwards.
- Relevant design experience with sheet metal work, electro/mechanical machinery, or special purpose machinery for mechanical handling processes.
- Interest in mechanical/engineering hobbies.
- Foreign language ability.
