The Team:

The Hiscox UK Change Team serves as the vital link between business operations and technology divisions, ensuring that transformations are prioritized, articulated, segmented, and executed in a manner that empowers the organization to meet its strategic objectives while aligning with the technology vision. This necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the entire change landscape and a keen focus on delivering value, ensuring that we are both undertaking the right initiatives and executing them effectively. The Role

This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the management of change initiatives within the UK sector. This entails taking on the leadership role for projects and being accountable for guiding a project from its initial idea through to successful completion. A proactive approach is essential for collaborating with and managing both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that objectives are met through the most effective and efficient methods.

A significant emphasis is placed on organizational readiness; ensuring that changes are integrated and maintained by employing Change Management methodologies and practices.

The project portfolio is dynamic, reflecting the evolving needs of the UK business, and will encompass both technological and operational transformations.

Key Responsibilities

Direct project management functions including benefit identification, planning oversight, monitoring and reporting on delivery progress; assessing, addressing, and resolving risks, issues, and dependencies; tracking, developing, and ensuring the quality of deliverables Engage in collaborative change management efforts including the creation of stakeholder engagement, communication, and training plans, as well as business readiness and sustainability initiatives Develop resource plans and work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to manage daily operations and comprehensive project delivery activities Oversee project scope to guarantee that commitments are fulfilled within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards Establish and monitor project milestones, ensuring that dependencies are recognized and accepted by the appropriate parties Eliminate obstacles and lead the resolution of issues to enable teams to meet their objectives Supervise the allocated budget and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of costs, as well as benefits realization Ensure compliance with the Hiscox Change Delivery Framework, promoting project transparency and providing timely and accurate reports on project status, timelines, and expenditures to the Portfolio Manager and PMO Manage projects across the entire UK change portfolio, which may involve overseeing multiple projects concurrently and/or managing a series of interrelated projects Contribute to the portfolio planning process by participating in pre-project assessments, skillset evaluations, and dependency mapping Cultivate strong, productive relationships within the organization, the change team, and with external partners to deliver effective solutions.

Essential Qualifications

Over 3 years of Project Management experience within the financial services sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery A genuine enthusiasm for guiding individuals through periods of change Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and influence management. Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of interacting with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization Proficiency in MS Project or other structured project management tools Experience managing projects in a multi-project environment with demanding timelines and deliverables Familiarity with distributed teams and relationship-building with stakeholders Comprehensive exposure to the full project lifecycle, from inception through user acceptance testing, deployment, and transition to business-as-usual operations Knowledge of project management best practices, methodologies, and governance principles. Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and similar tools The intellect and presence to influence and gain credibility with business personnel and management A creative, proactive, logical, and innovative mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo A strong results orientation, with the energy and determination to thrive in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and leadership are critical to success

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in: the insurance sector, managing small to medium-sized programs, and system integration implementations
