Job Title: Building Services Valves Specification Engineer

Geographical Coverage: North, Scotland, Midlands, and Ireland (preferably based in North/Midlands)
Compensation: £50,000-£58,000 with a potential 30% bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid or electric vehicle and comprehensive benefits package
Role Responsibilities:
- Engage in a technical specification role, promoting a range of manufactured dynamic control valves (smart valves), pressure independent control valves (PICVs), differential pressure control valves (DPCVs), and electro-mechanical actuators.
- Devote 80-90% of your time to securing specifications and influencing M&E consultants and building services consultants.
- Utilize the remaining time to nurture relationships with MEP contractors, M&E contractors, and select OEMs and developers.
- Serve as the technical authority on all aspects related to the application, installation, and functionality of the products.
- Provide technical assistance and support to the sales team in securing orders, generating quotations, and preparing technical submittals.
- Conduct approximately eight significant customer visits weekly.
- Perform technical design reviews, schematic take-offs, mark-ups, and Bluebeam PDF editing.
- Deliver 3-4 CPD seminars monthly.
- Manage projects with values up to £500,000, typically ranging from £50,000 to £80,000.
- Contribute to adding approximately £1 million to the project pipeline each month.
- Collaborate closely with a team of field sales professionals to finalize business with M&E contractors.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies for new product offerings.
- Develop and present training materials.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 3 years (preferably 5 years+) of technical specification experience within HVAC and building services.
- Experience in specifications with M&E consultants and building services consultants is essential.
- Comfortable delivering CPD presentations.
- Demonstrated aptitude for technical, mechanical, and electrical concepts.
- Open to diverse backgrounds in commercial plumbing and heating products, including valves, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, heat pumps, chillers, and AHUs.
- Connections within M&E consultants and building services consultants may be beneficial.
