About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Cleaning Operative at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our offices and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by performing a variety of tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting and sanitising surfaces.
  • Operate a range of cleaning equipment and machinery, including vacuum cleaners, mops and cleaning solutions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning schedules and deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with customers and managers, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and organise your own time.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
