Position Overview

Role: Therapeutic Support Assistant

Location: Educational Institution

Full-time: 40 hours per week across the academic year

Salary: £22,020 annually

The Cambian Group, a leading provider of specialized services in education and mental health, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Therapeutic Support Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

We are in search of a motivated individual to collaborate with the Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) teams. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative support functions:

  • Engage directly with individual students or groups to implement therapy programs under the guidance of senior OT or SaLT professionals.
  • Assist in evaluating students' communication needs and functional abilities.
  • Document and report on the progress of individuals.
  • Provide resources and support for students, contributing to the enhancement of the Communication and Sensory Environment.
  • Participate in regular supervision sessions and training opportunities as part of the Cambian Clinical Service.

About Our Institution

Our educational facility is dedicated to supporting students with Autism and related challenges, offering a tailored and engaging curriculum for learners aged 8 to 18. Our staff are highly trained in addressing communication difficulties, sensory needs, and various learning challenges, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other mental health conditions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in fostering the communication and functional skills of young individuals, particularly those with special needs. Previous experience working with young people is essential, along with basic IT skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment.
