SLT Consultant

The Cambian Group is a leading provider of specialist education and behavioral health services for children in the UK. Our services cater to individuals with high-severity needs, focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), moderate to severe learning disabilities, and associated challenging behaviors.

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will work with individuals to maximize their potential and enhance their quality of life. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing communication needs, implementing evidence-based therapy, and providing functional targets and recommendations to aid day-to-day communicative success.

• Assess communication needs in various environments and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapy approaches and provide functional targets and recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support the implementation of the therapeutic approach across the environment.
• Respond to referrals and ensure an inclusive communication environment is maintained.
• Contribute to service development and participate in company-wide SLT team meetings.

• Postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
• Preferably experience with AAC approaches.
