We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Team Lead to join our Community Nursing team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and developing services in line with the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop services in line with patient needs, demonstrating clinical expertise and acting as a professional role model to all staff.
- Be accountable for assessments and care planning, and prescribing appropriately for the patient group, involving and supporting family/carers.
- Promote the health of patients and provide support and advice, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
- Provide specialist knowledge and advice to influence the Surrey Downs Health and Care strategic agenda.
- Identify workforce planning issues and actively participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of clinical staff.
- Provide support and a learning environment for pre and post-registration students as required.
- Be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures and standards of care are adhered to at all times.
- Participate in research and development opportunities as appropriate.
- Provide assistance with the resolution of complaints within the clinical specialty or sphere of responsibility.
- Have the ability to negotiate and work effectively across all agencies for the maximum effectiveness of care.
- Lead and implement the SDH&C Clinical Governance Strategy within your practice area, facilitating and instigating clinical audit and monitoring of care.
- Lead and implement the SDH&C Risk Management Strategy within your practice area, ensuring all processes are adhered to.
- 1st level registration educated to Level 3.
- Evidence of team management.
- Management qualification/courses and/or willingness to work towards.
- Experienced mentor at pre and post-registration level.
- Experience of nurse leadership and management.
- Experience of appraisal and clinical supervision.
- Experience of developing strategies, clinical guidelines, and policies.
- Critical analysis skills.
- Ability to assess and deliver, evaluate, and benchmark quality care.
- IT skills and timely data entry.
- Project management skills.
- Car owner with clean UK Licence.
