About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Fundraising team at the Canal & River Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our Contactless Giving programme across the regions, working closely with our regional teams and face-to-face fundraising colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve weekly and monthly fundraising targets, with a focus on Contactless Giving.
  • Work with the Contactless Giving Fundraising Manager to develop new fundraising techniques and improve income generation for the Trust.
  • Support the Face to Face fundraising management team with reviews and business cases for future fundraising opportunities.
  • Ensure the effective management of key contactless giving channels, including devices, signage, and branded clothing.
  • Adhere to the IOF and Fundraising Regulator Code of conduct.
  • Handle sensitive and data-protected information with confidentiality and in accordance with the Trust's GDPR and Security Procedures.
  • Deliver regular compliance checks and training sessions to the F2F team and regional colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and senior management, nurturing positive relationships with regional colleagues.
  • Coach and mentor team members, supporting performance targets and improvements.
  • Ensure accurate data input and insight reporting, using key systems such as CRM and Evergiving.
  • Support operational processes for managing equipment, suppliers, regulatory compliance, and complaints management.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire people.
  • Customer service experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of fundraising is desirable but not essential.
  • Passion for the waterways, canals, and blue spaces is desirable but not essential.
  • Drivers license is essential.
