Are you an adept technician with a robust technical background in a franchised dealership setting?
Our client, a reputable and established dealership in Kilmarnock, is thriving and is eager to welcome you as part of their dynamic team during this promising phase. You will collaborate with a seasoned franchise Service Leader and benefit from comprehensive manufacturer training, a supportive work environment, and a steady workflow to keep you engaged.
As a proficient vehicle technician, you should possess the expertise to diagnose system issues, rectify them (including component replacements), and restore vehicle systems to meet manufacturer standards.
We invite applications from experienced Vehicle Technicians who have attained diagnostic or master technician qualifications within a franchised dealership.
A Full UK driver's license and personal tools are essential.
Depending on your proficiency, the role will encompass:
- Applying your technical expertise to perform repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, covering both minor and extensive mechanical tasks
- Executing significant electrical and engine repair assignments
- Engaging with customers to discuss vehicle conditions and necessary repairs when required
- Conducting road tests on customer vehicles post-repair
- Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues pertinent to the franchise brand
- Completing a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) to ensure that the VHC video completion meets targets and surpasses all Vehicle (VHC) KPIs
RequirementsRole Requirements:
- Technical acumen to confidently and safely perform repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles
- Proven ability and confidence in operating systems and equipment within the workshop
- Experience in a franchise dealership adhering to the highest quality standards
- Track record of working towards productivity goals
- Collaborating as part of a team to achieve optimal results for customers
- Qualified by experience in post or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Ability to mentor and coach apprentices and support less experienced team members
