Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at HMP Winchester. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems within the prison.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including installation and testing of electrical equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and take corrective action
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of facilities
  • Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

Requirements:

  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications
  • Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 18th Edition
  • Minimum of two years experience working in a role as an electrician, preferably within a healthcare, military or commercial environment
  • Honest and conscientious character, with ability to approach challenges in a calm manner and positive attitude
