The primary objective of this role is to deliver a proficient and high-quality clerical service within Maternity wards. This includes ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for patients and visitors while facilitating the seamless operation of administrative and clerical processes.

Effective patient administration is crucial in enhancing the patient journey and supports clinical teams in providing exceptional patient care. It plays a significant role in improving the patient experience by maintaining high standards of data quality and optimizing the use of resources.

Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated, and well-presented individual to join our team of ward clerks in Maternity. If you possess strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a positive attitude, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

The role involves delivering a professional, efficient, and friendly service, ensuring that all patients, visitors, and clinicians are greeted appropriately. A key aspect of this position is utilizing judgment and initiative to address daily patient inquiries and issues, while collaborating with the broader Maternity administrative and clinical teams as necessary.

Applicants should demonstrate flexibility in their work approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team. Proficiency in keyboarding is essential, and while knowledge of Electronic Patient Records (EPR) is advantageous, training will be provided.
