Substance Misuse Lead Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join our specialist addictions clinic in Reading as a Substance Misuse Lead Nurse.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior nurse to lead our clinical team and contribute to the overall performance of the service, ensuring that contractual output targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical audit of the service and contribute to the development of integrated pathways for service users.
  • Effectively manage and develop nursing staff, participating in core training programs as required.
  • Work alongside the Lead Doctor and Non-Medical Prescriber to formulate and implement individual treatment programs.
Requirements
  • Experience in vaccinations, BBV screening, and Hepatitis B/C screening.
  • Use of the CIWA-AR/COWS tool and alcohol and opiate detoxification.
