Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 driver with a valid HGV1 licence to join our team as a Night Driver for General Haulage. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving HGV1 articulated vehicles, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive HGV1 articulated General Haulage vehicles
  • Keep all paperwork and electronic records updated
  • Maintain an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations
  • Adhere to both agencies and client's regulations and procedures
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
  • Carry out effective communications
  • Ensure tasks are completed efficiently

Requirements:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
  • Must hold a Digital Tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on the licence
  • Must have at least 1 year's experience of HGV1 driving
  • Must have a good working knowledge of UK motorway road network and WTD regulations
  • A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
  • At least 1 year's experience working within the Transport Industry
  • A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate
