Waste Management Operative

As a Waste Management Operative, your primary duty will be to collaborate effectively within a team on a large operational site. It is essential that you possess the ability to take initiative in fulfilling waste management responsibilities.
This position involves a significant amount of physical labor and manual handling.
You will be expected to work Monday to Thursday from 05:00 to 14:00, and Friday from 05:00 to 12:00, with one weekend shift required each month, totaling 39 hours per week on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to directives from the Site Waste Recycling Supervisor and Waste Manager, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all waste is collected and that standards meet contract specifications.
- Assist the team in the segregation of waste materials.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards within the waste recycling facility.
- Ensure all external waste points are serviced according to client specifications.
- Provide feedback to the Waste Recycling Supervisor regarding any issues or process failures.
- Support the movement of furniture as required.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A valid driving license.
- Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous.
