Role Overview
The position of psychologist is a pivotal role within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, coordinating, and implementing therapeutic interventions. This role includes offering expert advice and support to both care and educational teams, ensuring that therapy plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, ultimately leading to positive developmental outcomes.

Collaboration and Reporting
The psychologist will work in close partnership with care and education teams, assisting them in their efforts to support children. Additionally, the psychologist will participate in the evaluation of therapy services and prepare impact reports for relevant stakeholders.

Management and Supervision
This role reports directly to the Chief Executive and will involve participation in operational and senior management meetings. The psychologist will collaborate closely with lead managers across various departments, including education, care, fundraising, and human resources, to inform and enhance their initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a recognized doctoral qualification in either Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology and must be registered with the appropriate professional bodies. The position will receive supervision from an external consultant psychologist experienced in residential settings. A strong background in working with children who have faced trauma is essential.
