We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our Forensic Mental Health Service, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day psychological therapies service to Forensic Mental Health Service users, carers, referral agencies, and Forensic Mental Health service staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise psychological therapy staff in the specified area and manage aspects of their work as directed by the Head of Adult Mental Health and in consultation with management staff in Forensic Mental Health Service.
- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate service and policy developments within the area as well as within the wider department.
- Work in community settings, inpatient, and prison settings to provide psychological therapies to individuals with complex mental health needs.
We are a friendly, supportive, and lively team of around 80 staff, with Clinical Psychologists in all major specialties. We have strong links with Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Stirling Universities and take trainees from both Clinical Psychology and Masters courses. We also provide placements and supervision for CBT Therapists.
