Position Overview:

Lancashire County Council is excited to announce an opportunity to join our Family Intensive Support Team as a Family Engagement Specialist.

We are looking for two dedicated professionals to fill full-time roles aimed at providing comprehensive support to families. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in delivering one-on-one assistance to families, focusing on intensive support, early intervention, and targeted aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as frontline staff within the 'Family Intensive Support' (FIS) team.
  • Manage a caseload of children, young individuals, and their families facing unmet needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments in accordance with the Lancashire Early Help Assessment framework.
  • Develop and implement tailored action plans that address specific needs and measure progress.
  • Assume the 'Lead Professional' role when multi-agency collaboration is necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records within established management information systems.
  • Work under the guidance of a Senior Family Support Worker-FiS.

Flexible working hours are essential, including potential evening, early morning, and weekend commitments to effectively support families.
