Corporate Strategic Planning Director

Reports to: Director of Group Business Performance

Diageo is a world-class leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of over 200 brands across spirits, beer, and ready-to-drink.

Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Corporate Strategic Planning Director, to head up our corporate strategic planning team. This role is integral to Diageo's long-term performance and requires a strong analytical and data-driven approach to setting strategic planning in the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver the strategy cycle, and the long-term financial planning, to ensure the execution of the overall Group strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a 10-year strategic forecast, and a 3-year strategic plan, including building the plans and supporting the presentation of these plans to the Diageo Executive Committee and the Diageo board.
  • Translate macro trends and financial performance into growth, and deliver an aligned long-term forecast for stakeholders to build detailed and robust market strategies.
  • Partner with regional leadership and local strategy teams to ensure strategies are holistically adapted across the organization, harnessing a global and a local mindset to deliver on Diageo's strategic goals.
  • Oversee the financial planning and analysis of the ESG P&L, including investment resource allocation, and support strategic decision-making, financial analysis, and corporate reporting for our goals on water, carbon, and positive drinking.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience within a senior commercial finance or strategic planning role.
  • Experience and understanding of the FMCG environment.
  • Highly numerate with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • MBA and/or Professional Accountancy qualification.
