Eden Scott is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to play a pivotal role in an upcoming carbon capture project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation in carbon management, shaping the future of energy in the North Sea region.

**Job Overview:**

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning activities on UK projects and tenders, ensuring the development and improvement of the planning department, its systems, procedures, and more junior personnel. They will also be responsible for ensuring the systems, processes, and reporting requirements for both internal and external clients are in place and adhered to, in line with the UK Planning procedure.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• **Supervision and Mentoring**: Supervise, mentor, and assist planning engineers and planning technicians in their roles.

• **Workload Management**: Monitor and manage the department's workload to achieve deadlines and ensure quality output.

• **Project Planning**: Develop and maintain comprehensive records of project planning-related documentation, including contract control schedules, detailed offshore schedules, as-built schedules, and project change registers.

• **Reporting and Analysis**: Develop and update project planning reporting packages for internal and external purposes, and monitor and report progress on UK projects and engineering studies.

• **Process Improvement**: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the planning department's efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and project management, with experience in the oil and gas industry. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
