Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to deliver Process Engineering support to our UK operations, contributing to modifications and projects as necessary.

Contract Details

This position is offered as a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are conducted safely, adhering to regulatory requirements, legislation, and Harbour Energy's HSES Procedures.
  • Provide Process Engineering support to UK operations.

Accountabilities and Competencies

  • Evaluate and develop potential engineering work scopes aimed at enhancing process safety, environmental standards, reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Create and review detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, simulation models, and drawings to meet the engineering requirements of our assets.
  • Assist in conducting process safety reviews, such as HAZOP and LOPA, and ensure timely closure of actions arising from these reviews.
  • Offer technical support to Operations teams as needed.
  • Challenge the technical aspects, engineering performance, and cost-effectiveness of modification projects.
  • Facilitate the delivery of Technical Work Management scopes for proposed studies, modifications, and projects.
  • Engage in Research and Development initiatives as required.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications (e.g., HND/HNC) along with relevant experience and/or vocational certifications.
  • Membership in a professional body working towards Chartership is preferred.
  • Experience in operational and engineering roles is advantageous.
  • Developing relevant technical expertise.
  • Experience in offshore environments.
  • Understanding of processes necessary to achieve HSE objectives, with familiarity with the UK regulatory landscape.
  • Awareness of Harbour Energy's Corporate and Local budget, maintenance, and project management processes and tools.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership qualities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and networking skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to drive change effectively.
  • Aim for ambitious yet realistic goals and consistently strive to achieve them.
  • Familiarity with Harbour Energy's HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Understanding of Harbour Energy's Values & Business Principles.
