About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Nurse to lead our locality team in promoting health and wellbeing among school-aged children and young people in the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of skilled staff to deliver evidence-based activities and interventions to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Assess health needs and implement planned programs of care for safeguarded children and delegate work to appropriately skilled team members.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider School Health team and 0-19 service to influence practice and development.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, such as clinical audit and research.
  • Mentor and supervise school health staff and students.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Specialist Practitioner Community Public Health Nurse Qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in School Health and Health Visiting or equivalent community role.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Practice assessor.
  • Full DBS disclosure and valid driving license required.
