Civil Engineer Apprentice

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Civil Engineer to join our team at Strata Construction Consulting. As an Apprentice Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including housing, commercial, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-purchase feasibility studies and resolve planning conditions, including drainage feasibility and highways considerations.
- Perform flood risk assessments and detailed drawings and calculations for adoptable highways and drainage.
- Prepare 3D ground models for volume calculations, cut and fill exercises, and vertical road profiles.
- Liaise with clients and external agencies, including the Environment Agency, Local Highway Authorities, and Water Authorities.
- Design work on projects for water and wastewater authorities.
- Represent Strata Construction Consulting at meetings, public exhibitions, and planning committees as required.
- Contribute to project management and control suitable projects.
- Support the training and professional development of team members.
Requirements:
- Working experience of FRAs, Suds, and Pre-Planning Advice.
- Working experience of drainage and highway design and detailing to S38, S278, and S104 agreements.
- Working experience of MicroDrainage WinDES, Tuflow, and HECRAS.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Working appreciation of highway and general structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages, including Excel and Word.
