Position Overview

As a Lead Care Support Specialist at Excelcare Holdings, you will join a dedicated and nurturing team focused on delivering comprehensive physical, emotional, and social assistance.   • Competitive hourly wage ranging from £12.60 to £13.00 based on your experience and qualifications.

  • Flexible shifts available, including Day or Night schedules from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, with a requirement to work alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will collaborate with and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure the delivery of exceptional care at all times.
  • You will report directly to the Home Manager and work closely with ancillary teams and fellow Senior Care Assistants.
  • Engaging in meaningful activities with residents will be a vital part of your role, always promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Your participation in developing person-centered care plans and conducting risk assessments will be essential for the successful delivery of outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews expected.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, holding an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Previous experience in a nursing or care home setting, or as a home care worker.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, specifically the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and experience working with individuals living with dementia is preferred.
