Job Title: Gardener - Estate Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team at Thomas Ren Associates. As a Gardener - Estate Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing a 3-acre garden, including vegetable and fruit gardens, herbaceous borders, greenhouses, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the garden to a high standard, ensuring all aspects of garden machinery are in good working order and safety standards are met.
  • Provide Safety Certificates for the use of garden machinery.
  • Carry out handyman duties, including maintenance of house vehicles.
  • Oversee the security of the property.
  • Work closely with the Housekeeper to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in horticultural and grounds keeping.
  • Ability to carry out driving duties, including maintenance of house vehicles.
  • Clean driver's license.
  • Non-smoking candidate with no pets (although dog lovers are essential as there is a family pet).

Benefits:

  • A 2-bedroom cottage with own garden, inclusive of all bills (excluding phone and internet).
  • 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, taken in liaison with the Housekeeper.
  • A non-contributory pension.

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with occasional weekend driving.
