About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Test Technician to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the overhaul and testing of refrigeration systems for various rail HVAC units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overhaul and test refrigeration systems, including the removal and replacement of main components and electrical protection and control components.
  • Support production staff in fault-finding and troubleshooting of failing overhauled units.
  • Conduct performance testing following overhaul.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Process auditing in line with F-Gas regulations.
  • Collate trend data to propose improvements.
Requirements
  • A background in Heating / Ventilation / AC / Chiller systems.
  • Experience in diagnosing system faults, repair and maintenance of refrigeration and electrical circuits.
  • F-GAS and ODS qualified – C &C 2079 Cat 2.
  • A suitable electrical qualification, such as BS7671, C&G 2365, 2357.
  • Fault finding of refrigeration and electrical systems.
