Mission Architect

As a key member of our Space Services team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative space-based solutions for our commercial customers. You will work closely with our Account Executives and Business Development teams to understand customer requirements, qualify opportunities, and design tailored solutions that leverage our small satellite platforms and global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess customer requirements and design optimal solutions
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports to prospective customers
  • Serve as a liaison between the sales and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of customer programs
  • Identify gaps in current capabilities and contribute to the development of our technology roadmap
  • Support the execution of Space Services programs through system requirements review and documentation
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a senior-level customer-facing technical role
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or equivalent combination of technical and work experience
  • Experience in satellite mission design, development, and testing with a strong understanding of major mission design trades and scope drivers
  • Knowledge of satellite design and orbital simulation software (e.g. AGI STK)
  • Familiarity with satellite-based remote sensing and Earth observations techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other team members

Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in office. Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required.
