Supply Chain Director

Key Responsibilities:- Lead operational delivery and continuous improvement activities for inventory receipt, storage, maintenance, and internal dispatch.
- Support the delivery of products by empowering subordinates to meet key targets within an acceptable timescale and budget.
- Contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Promote cross-functional working to achieve key knowledge transfer and best practices across the business.
- Identify and establish best practices for logistics processes related to receipting, storage, maintenance, and internal dispatch.
- Manage and control inventory obsolescence and slow-moving materials, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Essential:
- Relevant logistics experience in a manufacturing and engineering business environment.
- Management experience in a large project-based organization, delivering on time, within budget, and quality requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of warehousing and transport operations and management in a large FMCG or logistics business.
- Experience leading and developing teams across multiple locations.
- Knowledge of best practice standards in a logistics environment.

About the Logistics Management Team:The senior manager will be part of the logistics management team, reporting to the Principal Supply Chain Manager – Logistics. The team consists of 120+ logistics personnel, including 3 Supply Chain Leads, 14 team leaders, and 100+ staff and logistics operatives.
