Job Summary:

UKCIL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting a young girl with autism and learning disabilities. The successful candidate will provide personal care, accompany the individual on outings, and assist with daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the individual, including prompting with daily living tasks
  • Accompany the individual on outings, such as trips to the park, playgrounds, and shopping centers
  • Assist with meal preparation and cooking
  • Support the individual with learning life skills, such as road safety, stranger danger, and personal care
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments and outings
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license and own personal car
  • Business insurance and fuel costs will be reimbursed
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations and provide patient support
  • Understanding of autism and its impact on individuals
  • Confidentiality and data protection

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work a flexible schedule, with a minimum of 4 hours per week during term time and 15 hours per week during school holidays. The hours can be used flexibly, with a maximum of 8 hours per fortnight.

Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour
